A West Aussie Family — Original Artwork by Cate Rose
A celebration of family, love and the beauty of the Swan River.
The iconic black swans who inhabit Perth's Swan River are childhood memories for Cate. Even more exciting when seen accompanied by precious cygnets! This tender family scene captures the beauty of one of Perth’s most recognisable symbols and the quiet joy of life along the river.
Cate Rose combines watercolour, ink and collage to create a richly layered artwork, bringing movement, texture and vibrant detail to the scene. The swans’ graceful forms and the delicate presence of their young create a work that is both distinctly Australian and deeply evocative of Perth.
A beautiful statement piece for anyone who loves Perth, the Swan River, Australian wildlife or artworks celebrating family and connection.
